1960s Pauline Trigere Plaid Silk Evening Gown with Matching Capelet
Exquisite vintage Pauline Trigere evening gown / dress that is perfect for any special occasion. Would make an especially lovely Christmas or New Years Eve party dress! Beautiful silk plaid fabric that is done in a rich, vivid colors of emerald green, spring green, ruby red, navy blue and crème. Very flattering bodice design that is held in place with thin spaghetti straps. Flattering pleats fall from the bodice to form a full and sweeping skirt. The dress is fully lined in a ruby red silk fabric. There is a matching capelet that is a crème organdy fabric with matching plaid fabric piping along the edges and the ties at the neckline. Pauline Trigere's work is know for its fabulous tailoring and beautiful draping. This is a wonderful example of Trigere's work and would make a lovely addition for the discriminating vintage collector. This dress is in excellent vintage condition. The only thing that was noticed upon very close inspection is a pinpoint very faint spot on the back of the capelet. Believed to be circa 1960s.
